Peggy’s Shoes

Peggy Privette celebrates 26 years of doing business this year. She opened Peggy’s Shoes on West Main Street more than two decades ago as a women’s shoe store.

The store sells sizes 4 to 14 in narrow, medium and wide. Privette sells high heels, sandals, boots, work-appropriate shoes and trendy heels. She specializes fashionable shoes in hard-to-find sizes.

“We have shoes for all ages,” she said. “We sell designer brands at discount prices.”

Privette also sells designer handbags, leather bags, jewelry, accessories, raincoats, T-shirts and women’s apparel. Plus, she sells some shoes for kids.

She also regularly runs sales. Her most popular brands are Yellow Box and J. Renee.

And, since she’s a veteran business owner, she knows her customers – by their feet.

“I’ve been here so long I do remember what shoe sizes they wear,” she said.
