ABERDEEN – Monroe County District 2 Supervisor Billy Kirkpatrick is the new board president for the coming year. He replaces District 1 Supervisor Randle Gray who has served for the past two years.

“It has been a pleasure to serve as chairman of this board,” Gray said. “This has been a great board to work with. I’m going to resign my chairmanship today to make way for someone else. I promise to give the next president my absolute support.”

Kirkpatrick, who has served as board president before, was voted in by a unanimous vote. District Five Supervisor Sykes Lagrone will replace Ward Four Supervisor Fulton Ware as vice president.
