From Brad Locke's Inside Mississippi State Blog ... The first BCS standings of 2012 were released tonight, and Mississippi State (6-0, 3-0 SEC) checks in at No. 12. That’s a heck of a starting for the Bulldogs, who are coming off a 41-31 win over Tennessee on Saturday. MSU is ranked 14th in the Harris Poll, one of elements in the BCS formula.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs moved up four places to No. 15 in The Associated Press Top 25 college football polls released Sunday and up two places to No. 16 in the USA Today coaches Top 25.

MSU is 6-0 overall and 3-0 in the SEC after beating Tennessee 41-31 Saturday. The Bulldogs host Middle Tennessee at 6 p.m. Saturday.
