Calvin Lee Sacus III, 37, of Aberdeen, died from injuries sustained when authorities said he pulled out in front of a pickup truck on Darracott Road at the intersection of Robbin Drive.
Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell said Sacus was unresponsive when pulled from the car. He was taken to North Mississippi Medical Center.
According to the sheriff, the accident occurred at about 1:20 p.m.
The Monroe County sheriff’s office and coroner are still investigating the accident.
