HOUSTON – Chickasaw County officials have determined that 221 structures in that county were damaged or destroyed by Wednesday’s tornado, which killed three people in the county and injured 27.

Okolona Electric estimates it has about 1,200 customers without power, and Natchez Trace Electric Power has 850 such customers.

Donated clothing can be brought to The Salvation Army on Washington Street in Houston, and nonperishable food items, toiletries and other supplies are being collected at the National Guard Armory on North Pearl Street in Houston. Food for recovery workers and volunteers can be brought to the Houston Fire Station.
