Mr. and Mrs. Chip Gann of Houston are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Crystal Marie, to James Kenneth Hicks, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Hicks of Houston.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Kathryn Thompson of Houston and Mr. and Mrs. Harland Pigg of Okolona and Mrs. Howard Gann of Houston and the late Mr. Gann.
She is a graduate of Houston High School and Vaughn's Beauty College. She received an Associate's degree in Business from Itawamba Community College.
The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Austin of Vardaman and Mrs. Allen Hicks of Houston and the late Mrs. Ruth Hicks.
He is a graduate of Houston High School, Itawamba Community College and received a Bachelor's degree in Education from Mississippi State University. He is employed by the Booneville School District as a teacher and coach.
The couple will exchange vows on June 6, 2009 at 3 p.m. at The Magnolias in Aberdeen with Bro. Steve Lampkin officiating. A reception will follow.
