Ormon has been working for the town as deputy clerk for about two years.
Her promotion follows the exit of previous Town Clerk Leigh Norris.
She was sworn in Nov. 7.
Ormon is a native of the Gravestown community and a 2003 graduate of Ripley High School.
She earned an associate’s degree in business and marketing management from Northeast Mississippi Community College.
