No arrest yet in Booneville shooting

BOONEVILLE – No suspects have been arrested in connection with a Tuesday night shooting in Booneville.

One man was shot three times at the Sunflower Housing Project apartment complex shortly after 7 p.m. The victim, whose name is not being released at this time, underwent surgery at North Mississippi Medical Center for a gunshot wound to the leg. He also was shot in the arm and back, according to authorities.

Chief Investigator Capt. Michael Ramey said there is no motive to be released at this time.

The shooting remains under investigation.
