n The Mississippi Singing Churchmen will be in concert at First Baptist Church in Houston at noon on April 28. The men's choir is comprised of ministers of music from Baptist churches in Mississippi and began in 1965 under the leadership of the late Dan Hall, director of the Church Music Department for Mississippi Baptists. In 1971, the Churchmen elected officers and organized their operations for outreach, missions and ministry. Dr. Milfred Valentine has been directing the Churchmen since 1982.
The Mississippi Churchmen have been praising God and sharing their witness since their inception. They have sung their testimony throughout Mississippi and in mission trips around the United States and world. They are committed to "sharing the song of Jesus."
