Police stop car in high-speed chase on Highway 78

Several law enforcement agencies were engaged in a high-speed pursuit on Highway 78 from around 8:15 to 8:45 p.m.

According to police, the car was pulled over at the New Albany exit near the Chevrolet dealer on 78.

Union County Sheriff Jimmy Edwards tells WTVA TV three men are in custody. No names have been released. The three are currently in police custody in Itawamba County. No names have been released.

They had traveled from Itawamba County.

According to law enforcement, police were chasing a silver car that was involved in an armed robbery of a Fulton Mexican restaurant.

The car was traveling in excess of 100 mph.
