Saltillo golfer places in college tournament

Saltillo’s Tyler Parsons finished 12th overall Tuesday for Harding (Ark.) University in the Natural State Classic at Heber Springs, Ark.

Parsons, a senior, shot a today total of 6-over-par 148.

A 2008 graduate of Saltillo High School, Parsons played golf for the Tigers and two seasons for the Northeast Mississippi Community College golf team before signing with Harding.

Union (Tenn.) University’s Brett Barry was the medalist with a 2-under 140.
