The Lady Toppers clinched first place in division and will serve as host team for the first round Oct. 9, although they aren't quite sure who their opponent will be.
"Probably Itawamba or Amory," said Coach Keith Jernigan.
Weather delays have caused rescheduling of games and some teams have a division game or two left this week. But for the Lady Toppers, this week will hold no surprises.
"We've already won our division," Jernigan said.
The Houlka Lady Wildcats snagged the second spot in division, which will put them on the road for round one.
The Lady Cats will head to Jumpertown Oct. 9 for a best-of-three series and still have a couple of games on the schedule for this week, but none will affect their post-season play.
"All I have is non-division games left," said Coach Vicki Homan.
The East Webster Lady Wolverines took top honors in their division and will also begin playoffs Oct. 9 but their opponent has not been determined.
The Lady Toppers were rained out Monday and planned a busy day Tuesday.
"We'll make up with Leake at 5 p.m. and Louisville at 6:15 p.m.," Jernigan said. "Both are division games."
Houlka was scheduled to host Shannon Tuesday and travel to Ingomar Thursday to wrap up the regular season.
The Vardaman Lady Rams entered slow-pitch in the middle of a two-year MHSAA rotation and could not qualify for post-season play, but are scheduled to host East Webster Tuesday and Bruce Wednesday.
The Lady Wolverines will end the regular season at home with Calhoun City Thursday.
