Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal - Temporary closure on US Highway 78 in DeSoto County

The Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) would like to inform motorists of a lane closure on US Highway 78 in DeSoto County.

All westbound lanes of US Highway 78 between Ingrams Mill Road and Hacks Cross Road have been closed due to an accident involving an overturned tractor-trailer. Westbound traffic is currently being detoured from Ingrams Mill Road to US Highway 178.

“Motorists are advised to use extreme caution when traveling through the affected area,” said Northern District Commissioner Mike Tagert.
