Emergency officials work the scene of an accident in front of Mac's Tire Center on West Main Street in Tupelo on Wednesday. Two women were injured in the accident. They were taken to the North Mississippi Medical Center by ambulance. There condition is unknown. According to police, a truck was turning into Mac’s Tire Center headed west when he turned into a van heading east on Main Street. The man in truck had a cut on his forehead but was not taken to the hospital. (C. Todd Sherman)
No serious injuries were reported by officials at the scene. Two people involved in the accident were taken to the hospital. A driver was headed east when another driver hit that driver while trying to turn into Mac's Tire Center. The vehicle that was hit then hit two cars parked at Mac's Tire Center.
No names were released of individuals involved in the accident.
Traffic was moving again slowly near Mac's Tire Center at 3:15 p.m.
