Dancer, who lives at 1705 North Green Street in Tupelo, was out on bond from Tupelo Municipal Court for two pending domestic violence charges on the same victim and a charge of simple assault for attacking the victim’s mother.
As a strange coincidence, the Plantersville Police hosted an Attorney General’s seminar this morning on Domestic Violence Stalking and Strangulation.
Plantersville Chief Maury Schuh said today’s training will be put to use to take this repeat offender off the streets. This case is a perfect example of how domestic violence and stalking incidents can escalate, according to Schuh.
Officer Nita Westbrook arrested Dancer last night after he had fled outside the residence. Officer Westbrook was assisted by Verona Police in the apprehension.
Dancer will be arraigned at Justice Court on Friday. Verona Police also had warrants for Dancer on unrelated charges.
