Tupelo has several events planned to celebrate the birthday of Elvis Presley.

On Jan. 7 at 1 p.m., there will be a Tupelo presentation at the Bijou Theatre at Graceland with Roy Turner, Sam Bell, Guy Harris and the Tupelo Unity Choir. Tickets are free and available in the ticket pavilion.

On Jan. 8, the festivities are in Tupelo. At 1:30 p.m., officials at the Elvis Presley Birthplace will have cake for the public. At 2 p.m., the Tupelo Unity Choir video will debut in the EP Birthplace Theater, followed by a live performance from the choir at 2:15 p.m.

Then, at 5:30 that day, there will be a lighting ceremony at Elvis’ homecoming statue in Fairpark.
