The North Pole Stroll will be from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and includes free refreshments, free carriage rides, live music and special sales at 14 merchants.
The businesses participating are Beauty Motif, Caron Gallery, Kirksey Brothers Furniture, Ladybug’s, Luxe, MLM Clothiers, Monogram It, Reed’s, Sprint Print, Swirlz, The Main Attraction, Tupelo Hardware, Voe’s and Yellow Lovebirds.
The Gumtree Museum of Art also will be open and will have free sugar cookies visitors can decorate.
The evening will include live performances by the Lane Chapel Quarter, First United Methodist Church Handbells and the Tupelo High School Madrigals throughout the downtown area.
In addition to the main downtown event, the Moore-Robinson House, at the corner of South Green and Magazine streets, will have an open house for its businesses, including Head to Soul Massage Therapy, Emi Lou’s Boutique, Devilish Mary’s and Cafe Improv.
The night will wrap up at 8 p.m. with the lighting of the renovated marquee at the Lyric Theatre on North Broadway Street.
The merchants also will have a food drive at the event. Participating retailers will have a collection bin for nonperishable food items to be donated to a local food pantry.
