MICHIE, Tenn. – A Corinth man and a woman with strong Alcorn County connections both died in a weekend automobile accident, according to reports.

Angelia Leigh “Angie” Richardson Price, 48, of Michie, Tenn., and Billy Ray Vunkannon, 31, of Corinth, were both killed when the vehicles they were driving collided Saturday on Highway 22 in Michie, the Daily Corinthian reports.

Each driver was accompanied by a passenger, and both passengers were transported with injuries to hospitals in Memphis.

Dylan Price, 10, was in the vehicle with Angie Price and was transported to LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center, where the Daily Corinthian reported he was in good condition Monday. A condition report was not available for Vunkannon’s passenter, Megan V. Ashe, 28, of Corinth.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol investigated the accident, saying Vunkannon was northbound on Highway 22 when he veered into Price’s lane in a near head-on collision.
