ABERDEEN – Brian Perry Jones of Alabama heard initial bank robbery by violence charges against him today in U.S. District Court.

Jones, 35, of Toney, Ala., was held in jail until his Jan. 11 arraignment before Magistrate Judge David A. Sanders.

A Dec. 17 indictment, just unsealed, accuses Jones of robbing four banks by force – two in Tupelo, one in Booneville and another in Iuka during a period from August until Nov. 19, 2012.
