A bit late with this, but it was a busy day on the blog yesterday. So consider the Blog Bag opened. Answers coming Friday.

As for today's Journal, it was packed with good stuff. There is my column on MSU center Jarvis Varnado, who's pondering his basketball future. Speaking of basketball futures, MSU's path to the 2010 Western Division title might have gotten easier with the departure of Ole Miss junior David Huertas, who's returning home to Puerto Rico to go pro. He's the second Rebel in the past month to leave; Malcolm White decided to transfer.

To the diamond. Here is a look back at the week in MSU baseball. It was not a good one, as the Bulldogs (19-17) lost two of three at Tennessee. They can get back on track tonight in Pearl when they take on Ole Miss (25-10) in the Governor's Cup at 6:30. I'll be there blogging and covering. Ricky Bowen (2-1, 5.40) will pitch for State against Brett Bukvich (4-1, 3.86).

So I'll be missing today's football practice at 3:30. If you go out, let us know what you saw, what you liked, what you didn't.

Check y'all later.
