Mississippi State has its trophy after defeating Vanderbilt 3-0 in Sunday's SEC Tournament championship game (CLICK HERE). And it can thank a couple of things: Its pitching and … that extra something (CLICK HERE).

Now comes a chance to rest. The Bulldogs will do a light workout today, take Tuesday off, and then begin preparing for whoever they play in the NCAA regionals. Their destination will be known later today, when the tournament field is announced at 11 a.m. on ESPNU.

MSU is a lock for a No. 2 seed, but the late-night projections Sunday varied on destination. SEBaseball.com has State headed for the Coral Gables Regional (Miami), while PerfectGame.org has it going to the Tallahassee Regional (Florida State).

I'll be on hand to speak with players and coach John Cohen once the field is set, so look for updates here and on Twitter.
