Dario Robinson was a big reason Amory was such a high-octane passing team last season, with Forest Williams flinging the ball around. Robinson had 143 catches for 2,191 yards and 21 touchdowns, and he enters his senior season trying to further impress college coaches.

I caught up with Robinson on Friday night following Amory's 48-14 season-opening win over Mooreville. Robinson (5-foot-10, 180 pounds) had only one catch for 15 yards, but the Panthers are trying to have a more balanced offense in the post-Williams era. And Robinson is still the lead horse, as he carried five times for 54 yards and scored two touchdowns, on runs of 9 and 4 yards.

Robinson has a handful of scholarship offers, but only one from a BCS conference school: Illinois. He's been getting a look from Mississippi State, although he said it's been a couple of months since he spoke with anyone there. He also said he might be talking with Bulldog coaches soon.

I've got video of my conversation with Robinson, in which he talks about the game, running the ball more often, and his recruitment by MSU. CLICK HERE to watch.
