Preseason camps rolls on, and MSU is a week into it. The Bulldogs have been on the field for six days, putting in seven practices. Wednesday marked the beginning of two-a-days work at South Farm.

My update today is focused on how many freshmen might play this fall (CLICK HERE). Dan Mullen believes it could be five or six, and it makes sense to get a few more guys out there considering how much experience will be leaving after the next two seasons.

• I'll be back in Starkville today to speak with defensive coordinator Chris Wilson and some defensive linemen. But before that happens, there will be a media session with basketball coach Rick Ray at 11 a.m., so look for some basketball tweets in the midst of all this football-ness.
