For the second time this season, Mississippi State pitcher Chris Stratton has been named the SEC pitcher of the week.

The junior from Tupelo tossed a complete game in Friday's 4-0 win over Ole Miss. Stratton (8-0, 2.39 ERA) struck out seven, walked one and gave up five hits. He threw only 104 pitches, including five in the fifth inning and six in the sixth. He retired 10 in a row at one point.

Stratton ranks first in the SEC in wins, first in innings pitched (75 1/3), second in strikeouts (95) and fifth in ERA. Teams are hitting .201 against him.

Stratton also earned the pitcher of the week honor after an SEC-opening gem against LSU on March 16.
