An alert from Mississippi Department of Transportation came out at 5:45 p.m. MDOT said the accident was on US Highway 78 past MS 23 in Itawamba County and is affecting the westbound lanes. MDOT reported the duration of the cleanup could be an hour and 30 minutes from 5:45 p.m.
Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper Ray Hall said three vehicles were blocking the road, and he didn't have any information on injuries at this time.
