Yes, I will be there tomorrow. I will be wearing RED but I will have black in my heart. I was planning on wearing black until Coach Nutt asked us fans to wear red for the team's sake. He is still our coach and I will support him and the team. No predictions here, but as long as they play the game there is always a chance. As for Mr. Boone, I talk to no one that doesn't want him gone. We want our traditions back and for that to happen Dr. Jones needs to go back to the medical school. Can you imagine traditions gone, like the cow bells at State, Rocky Top at Tennessee, Hold that Tiger at LSU, Yellow Hammer at Alabama and many others? That is the way most Rebel fans feel right now, no traditions left. We still love our Rebels though. As for basketball, yes I'm pumped. I think this is the year to make some noise. GO REBS!!!!!

Raleigh, I don't think there's anything going on with Sanders beyond his just being passed by the freshmen. Maybe there's an opportunity with Harris gone, but he's still the fourth receiver on a team that would rather run than throw.

I think PA had great predictions to all games except FSU, and agree that he does a great job.

I have some "faith" in the Rebels and would not be surprised to see them get the upset this weekend or to get 3-4 more wins this year.

I'd like to see Mackey used even more as a option QB the rest of the year. I hope he's been working on throwing the ball away to avoid the sack, he's had too many sacs where he could have easily thrown it away. I don't have much hope for our run defense anymore.

TupeloReb, I appreciate your encouragement. I don't know what Houston is thinking. Coaches talk to us about working hard and trying to get better, as they should. There are still six games left, and Serderius Bryant earlier this week was talking about winning out. It's what coaches and players do.

I didn't believe Ole Miss would win out in 2008, but it won six straight. Some players are pointing to that season.

The problem is past performance is often a good indicator of future results, and most folks, myself included, don't give the Rebels much of a chance of winning out or winning Saturday. With past performances over the last two years there's not a lot of positive to draw on, particularly in the SEC.

I do not think many will wear black tomorrow.

I will have on Red to support my Rebels. I do not see how the Rebels can win, but I hope is not a blow out like last week. Do you feel Houston thinks he will be back next year. I do not want Pete hiring our next coach, but I think he will be our AD next year.

I know we have a lot of young talent in the most recent class at WR, but what's the word on Vincent Sanders? He was recruited by every big name college in HS, and Rivals had him as the #15 WR in the country. At 6'3", and now with Melvin Harris gone, we need him when we're in the red zone to go up and grab a TD. Haven't heard anything about him ever getting in trouble. I used to follow him on Twitter, but his posts are just too weird for me.

After 12 years of being a season ticket holder I was told i was no great lose to the university so I did not renew this year. Therefore I will not be attending the game. I dont get into the whole coach telling me what color to wear craze, always seemed silly to me...concentrate more on filling those seats than what the people in them are wearing and you'll be better off. However, if I was going I would probably wear black.

Your right, it appears to be a very disorganized effort so I would be surprised if many even know about it to participate.

Contrary to a few of my fellow posters, I see nothing wrong with "Forward Rebels". They have not resorted to name calling, they have a spokesman, they use their time money and effort to bring awareness to their message. I am not a member, but they are doing their best to call for much needed change to an administration that is destroying everything many of of love about Ole Miss. I will not follow this administrations lead blindly like a sheep. Look at the wedge that has been driven into this fan base....you have the old guard Dixie crowd, the forward rebels crowd, the Col Reb crowd, the PC crowd, the "we just want to win crowd"....goes on and on and not one sole in this administration appears to want to try to bring these various factions back together.

Its really, really sad...MSU will be outpacing us in more than just sports pretty soon.

I can't make it to the game this weekend but, if I could, I would be wearing red. I agree with RevReb and made some comments on this earlier in the week. The 7 or so home games are the only times the players get to see our support of them so we should show our full support of them. If you want to protest Boone, write a letter, take out an ad, stage a protest outside the stadium or in the grove, hold a public meeting and have someone write an article about it. I just don't think we should selfishly take the game experience away from our players. They work too hard for it.

I think it's probably time for Boone to go (and maybe Nutt too); I just don't think wearing black is appropriate. I also think it's risky. What happens if supporters don't follow suit? Then it'll look like a small and powerless group that's just trying to stir the pot. Failing on a scale this big could backfire.

Scared of the Hogs this weekend but I'm an optimist like JB. That said, I don't know how to predict a score that has the Rebs up in the end. Going to be hard to hold that offense below 30 and going to be hard to score more than 30. I guess that means I'll say 30-29 Rebs. Hotty Toddy.

As to basketball, so far we're undefeated & I'm alway optimistic. Experience at the front line with talent & depth at guard. I looking at a ticket to the Big Dance.

RevReb, I think a change before the season ends is possible with another loss or two like the Alabama game. I understand that Alabama is very good, but you still need to compete. Something needs to happen to indicate improvement in the program. Fresno State was a start but is also a reminder of the subtle differences between the WAC and the SEC.

Regarding coaches to keep if a change was made, Burns' work in the secondary is noticeable. There's a lot of improvement, particularly with the interceptions, but they're giving up a lot of yards too. It will be interesting to see if they can get a turnover or two against a strong passing offense like Arkansas, particularly in light of the shuffling at cornerback. Ole Miss did not get an interception against Alabama, first game this yer to go without.

Brewer is an interesting case, because he's been a successful coach and recruiter, he has such a deep history with the school, and in taking the Ole Miss job his situation was more about wanting to be at Ole Miss than wanting or needing to leave Oklahoma State.

Ackbar, I'm thinking there will be some black in the stands, but I haven't heard a great deal about the black out, haven't seen a lot of organized promotion on it. It's like the organizers are depending on word of mouth to get out the message. That makes me think there will be pockets of black here and there, but no organized effort in the stands. If that's the case it will look like a disorganized effort on TV. We'll see.

Chris, I understand your wait-and-see approach. Kennedy has been close and has had some exciting teams, but they haven't been able to win the games to get to the big tournament, and I think that's created some apathy he had earlier erased. I think this team has real potential, but a couple of things have to happen. The SEC has to clear Murphy Holloway. That takes the team to a different level right away. Jelan Kendrick has to be a double-figure playmaker and distributor from the time he steps on the court. There is no time to learn on the go, because he won't be available until almost SEC time. Before then Jarvis Summers needs to be the dependable, hard-nosed, blue-collar point guard that Kennedy and players have described. He will have to play big minutes in big non-conference games against Marquette, Winthrop, Penn State and Miami.

I will not attend another home game until "Jaba the Nutt" is exiled. I will be wearing black to show my nonsupport. It would be really cool if there were 20,000 blackshirts tomorrow.

The first half vs BAM was not any good at all. The first series was. The only good thing I can see on the team is #2. O-line is big, slow and has poor communication. There is no QB performance. #2 is the only impact player.

I just hope that somewhere on the roster there are enough players to draw some attention to a quality coach or coordinator to come in and repair this wreck.

Arkansas 63 and the fighting nutts 10

I will be making the four hour drive from middle TN to support the Rebels tomorrow and I will be wearing RED. I think we need a change at AD and, as much as I hate to admit it, I've seen nothing thus far to support retaining the coaching staff. But I cannot support the manner in which Forward Rebels is going about effecting this change. A group calling for transparency and accountability that assumes none of their own is not worth much in my opinion.

I do think more people will wear black and blue tomorrow than most think. I do think it will send a statement.

I was not encouraged by the first half of the BAMA game. The score was closer than the stats and we once again allowed the opposing team to convert on critical third and long situations. I don't think Bama ever broke a sweat and were never really concerned about us mounting any kind of threat, even when we went up 7-0. They're good...and they know it.

I don't see how we beat Arkansas. I think they run up the score, not simply because Nutt was at Arkansas, but because Arkansas wants to be regarded as a BCS team and it will be tough for that to happen with Bama and LSU. Arkansas will need some help, including taking care of business at the end of the year against LSU, but they'll want as many lopsided wins as possible to position themselves for a possible BCS bid.

I am pumped for basketball because we're undefeated right now and hope springs eternal.

QUESTIONS FOR PA:

1. Can you envision someone (AD, HC or staff) losing their job BEFORE the end of the season?

2. Brewer and Burns seem to be the popular choices of coaches to keep, even if changes are made. Any coincidence that these are the two newest coaches on staff? My personal opinion is that they're both good coaches, but so are most of our coaches. Brewer and Burns just haven't been around long enough for people to turn on them.

Your thoughts on the blackout? Im still deciding whether to wear black or not... But its a good possibility I will

I dont think there will be alot of black shirts seen either. i'm all for it, i just dont think alot of people will participate.

I do not gather faith because of a half against alabama and do not see an upset over arkansas.

I think the emotions are less now due to 4 yrs removed from the arkansas program and the fact that ole miss cant compete with division I teams-there is no realist rivalry feel.

Basketball does not pump me up very much. I'm not fair weather, but poor performing sports dont pump me up. I have not been pumped for ole miss basketball since rod barnes first year or so.
