You know, display makes a big difference, and I felt like we missed a day on the blog yesterday, but it looks like things are back in shape. Fingers crossed here.
So that means we're back on track for the Friday Chat.
Tomorrow is Game Day. Will you attend, and will you wear black as a vote of no confidence, so to speak, for athletics director Pete Boone? Word is out that there will be a “black out” of Boone. It doesn't appear to be a movement as organized as Forward Rebels. Because of that I'm thinking I won't see thousands upon thousands of black shirts. What do you think?
Getting back to football on the field. Do you gain faith in the Rebels because of their first half against Alabama, as Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt did? It was a 17-7 game at halftime, but Alabama had almost twice the possession time of the Rebels, and the first-half momentum seemed to carry over not at all to the third quarter.
Are you confident that Ole Miss can pull off an upset against Arkansas?
And what about the Hogs? Has the emotion of playing Houston passed, or do you think Bobby Petrino will score as many points as he can score in this game, because that offense can score a lot?
Petrino had an interesting comment at the close of Thursday's work day in Fayetteville.
This was in response to a question regarding preparation to play a team coming off a 52-7 loss. “It challenges your maturity when you watch (that) game the other night,” said Petrino, who added that “Alabama has done that to everybody.”
Basketball practice is a week in. Are you pumped for hoops? Aging Biker, this is your sport, isn't it?
I'll be checking the thread through the day. Chime in on these topics or any other.
