Summing it up: “This is obviously a big game for us, a big game for Georgia, as all SEC games are, and we need to have our fans behind us. I'd like to encourage them to come to the game and be there early, wear red and be loud, full of excitement and cheer these coaches and these kids on.” - Ole Miss athletics director Pete Boone

Checking in from VHS. Georgia specialists are on the field milling about. Kickoff is 11:21. I'll have updates on Twitter throughout and here at halftime.
- PA
Georgia finished with 475 total yards, but the Rebels stiffened in the red zone, and Georgia missed three field goals.
Just 183 yards for Ole Miss, one offensive touchdown, one special teams touchdown. Two touchdowns by Jeff Scott called back on penalties.
The mood in the postgame was disappointment as you might imagine. Coaches felt like the Rebels played harder though, harder than they did at Vanderbilt.
They believe they're close to turning a corner. The general feeling was that line play was better. There were more running lanes, though the backs didn't always complete the runs. Pass protection was better.
OC David Lee had an interesting quote as he expressed concern about the team keeping its mental edge: "At this point when you look at coming off this season and the lack of success last season you worry about your players say, 'Oh boy, here we go again.' That's the attitude that cannot set into your team. I went up to each player in the locker room and touched on that and told them to just keep fighting.”
More in the Day After Observations tomorrow.
Georgia 24, Ole Miss 13
The game is not as close as the score indicates.

Individuals
Georgia, Crowell 14 carries, 92 yards. Murray 7-for-14, 158, 2 TD, 1 INT. 2 sacks
Ole Miss, Jeff Scott 7 carries, 29 yards. Bolden 4 carries, 2 yards. Stoudt 3-for-8, 38 yards, 2 sacks. Mackey 3-for-6, 78 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT. Moncrief 2 catches, 56 yards, 1 TD. Brassell 2 catches, 52 yards.
Brassell has the other TD on an 81-yard return on a reverse.
There have been some nice individual plays for Ole Miss, but this will ultimately come down to blocking and tackling, and the Rebels aren't getting much done there.
