I think traveling to eastern Texas works out fine. It will be a challenge to add the 14th team in the "south". If the 14th team is in the "west" (Missouri, OK, etc), someone has to get shifted to the SEC east. Auburn is the furthest east, but would have to be kept on AL schedule.

Having grown up in Denham Springs near Baton Rouge, I love the logistics. It's great for LSU and Arkansas. For Ole Miss in terms of travel it would be like having Florida as a division opponent. The college football landscape is changing, and as much as I enjoy the ability to drive to almost every football opponent, that day is coming to an end.

PA, what are your thoughts on A&M from a logistics standpoint? They are pretty far removed from the SEC map.
