Selection committee chairman Kyle Kallander has been quoted as saying the Rebels were among the last five teams in, but they are back in the dance after a year's absence, playing at one of the new SEC members. Next year an Ole Miss-TExas A&M matchup will count in the conference standings.

The Rebels will face TCU Friday at 12:35 p.m. in the regional's opening game.

Here's ticket information and more on the College Station Regional.

Ole Miss is a 3 seed at Texas A&M taking on 2 seed TCU in the opening round. Dayton is the 4 seed against Texas A&M. The College Station Regional is paired up with No. 2 national seed UCLA for the super regional. The Rebels played at College Station in 1999 under Pat Harrison.

Interesting early matchups include Clemson against South Carolina in the Columbia Regional. Also, three national seeds for the SEC - 1 Florida, 7 LSU, 8 South Carolina.

The Rebels have finally got their chance, just don't blow it. I don't remember much about Rebel Baseball under Pat Harrison, I was a Miss State Baseball fan then. Only Ole Miss in football. Ole Miss can take up where they left off with TCU, seems like one game was cancelled due to weather. (1-1)
