A few notes from today's practice. Houston Nutt said he's not sure who will start along his offensive line interior. Logan Clair is still out. Freshman Jared Duke worked some at right guard today. In the drills taking place at the close of practice I didn't see A.J. Hawkins with the first unit, but it's hard to believe he won't be in there.

At the beginning of practice, junior college transfer defensive end Wayne Dorsey was going through drills with the first team. LaMark Armour, who has started the last two games, was running with the second group.

On the injury front, guard Patrick Junen was in full dress and went the whole way. Backup safety Damien Jackson did not practice, and his status for Saturday's game against Auburn is unclear.

I was looking forward to seeing Damien Jackson take some cracks at Newton. Knile Davis had a big day after Jackson left the game against Ark. Could be huge if he can go.
