There was movement along the offensive line today with sophomore Patrick Junen recapturing the starting job at left guard, at least for today. Junen started the first three games there and was followed by freshman Aaron Morris, then senior Alex Washington.

The other move was more of a surprise. Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt validated what he told us Monday by moving sophomore Evan Swindall to first team center ahead of A.J. Hawkins, who has 15 career starts. We'll see if the move sticks or if it's more a motivational tactic.

On Monday Nutt said the move was a possibility. Final decisions for starting roles on the offensive line for Saturday's game against No. 2 Alabama have yet to be made, he said.

It was interesting to walk around during the stretch period today. The Rebels appeared loose as they prepare to host Alabama.

Defensive line coach Terry Price was talking with his players. The conversation was about the new enforcement of the celebration penalty, a change that cost LSU a touchdown against Florida.

Price was telling the players about NFL guys that he and I remembered but many of them did not – Ickey Woods, the Bengals running back who popularized the “Icky Shuffle” to celebrate his touchdowns, and the Bears' defensive lineman/running back Williams “Refrigerator” Perry.

At another point during stretch Brandon Bolden picked up a ball and made an easy pass to Nutt.

There was not the quiet tension that could have been there if the team was on edge about the Crimson Tide coming in.

Nutt said he liked seeing his guys loose and said the only time he'd mis-read their preparedness level was prior to the Vanderbilt game, a 30-7 loss in Nashville a month ago.

I cannot understand how Terry Price has a job in the SEC, even at Ole Miss. He has done nothing with good DL talent that Tracey Rocker had established. He never says anything on the sideline that is in anyway a form of coaching. I have witnessed this time and time and time again on Saturdays, promise.

"Defensive line coach Terry Price was talking with his players. The conversation was about the new enforcement of the celebration penalty, a change that cost LSU a touchdown against Florida."

Really? So he was talking about a taunting call instead of the important stuff like trying to figure out how to stop Bama's running game....Brilliant.

May as well call the cops and the morgue now because come Saturday because Ole Miss is likely going to get KILLED. I hate it, but I do not see anything good coming from this game.

By the way, what happened to Brishen Matthews? Did I miss something?

You made a cameo on episode 6 of the Season, on vimeo. You could have had make-up and better lighting though. :)
