Ole Miss coach Houston Nutt walked off the field with a simple message after Wednesday’s practice, “Another good work day.”  Nutt also added, “I felt like we’ve had two good days in a row and we’ll come back and do it again tomorrow.”

Nutt said Senior RB Enrique Davis was moved to backup spur and LB today, but was quick to add that he’ll still be used on the offensive side of the football.

Nutt was very complimentary of the Alabama defense saying, “It’s depth, speed, and strength, real players. It’s a real good recipe I can tell you that.”

Another player that was moved around was reserve DT Corey Gaines, who said he has been playing center for about two weeks.

Freshman KOR Tobias Singleton, said he’s grown into the role well and has been really close to breaking one in the past few weeks and Nutt reiterated that fact, “I’ve been real pleased with him, if we can get one more block he’ll hit it. We’ve been down to 3 times that we’ve been one block away and he’ll hit the crease.” Singleton has struggled to break into the WR rotation, but he was quick to say he was happy to get on the field to help the team out in any way possible.

RB Jeff Scott, who carried the ball 24 times against Fresno State, said he had a “few bumps and bruises,” but said he was ready to go now. Scott also said this year he has been focusing more on film studies with Brandon Bolden and RB Coach Derrick Nix and it has helped him learn things like, "Just looking at the defense seeing where their best players are on the field, where their strengths and weaknesses are."
