One of the things that I enjoy about my job is watching good folks be successful, and it's been fun watching former Ole Miss players Mike Wallace and Benjarvus Green-Ellis lately.

I was glad Wallace didn't have super success last night since the Steelers were playing the Saints, but Wallace did have three catches for 53 yards and leads the Steelers in receiving yards (379), average per catch (23.4) and touchdowns (4).

Green-Ellis ran for 112 yards and two touchdowns on 17 carries yesterday in the Patriots win over the Vikings. For the season he leads the Patriots with 371 rushing yards and six touchdowns.

Wallace was able to have a break-out college season as a senior in 2008. Green-Ellis will be remembered as a good player on bad teams.

Both of them are New Orleans products who were affected by Katrina. Similarities may stop there. Wallace is a talker who enjoys the spotlight, Green-Ellis a dilligent worker, a no-nonsense guy who just tolerates the attention.

So very proud of both of them but don't forget Patrick Willis with the 49ers. He had great success.

Glad to see the Saints win. My son and I have been a Saint fans since day one Not very familiary with Mike Wallace other than he once played football at Ole Miss. Benjarvus Green-Ellis is not from Mississippi and one of those Ole Miss migratory player imported in to play football. So I don't follow him in the Pro's
