A few BYU players out on the field now. White pants and white shirts, stripes down the side of the legs and around the sleeves, the traditional white helmet with the white "Y" against the circular navy backdrop.

Rebels coming out now in the red shirts.

About 63 minutes to kickoff.

I'll have updates on Twitter and here at halftime and postgame. If you're not following me on Twitter @parrishalford, as you should be, the Twitter feed is over there on the right.

Ole Miss will be lucky to win two game this year.Ole Miss want have any running back left after four game if hard headed Nutt keep trying to run up the middle with that offensive line. They couldn't block a peewee team .I think it has a lot to do with the offensive line coach. They are not being taught hoe to block.

We will find out more about Bolden and Davis at Nutt's conference call tomorrow afternoon.

I will post a wrap-up, thoughts and observations, tomorrow morning.

Looks like another loooong season. The OL looked terrible. It seemed like every time we ran the ball that BYU was in the backfield by the time the running back got the ball.

We are in trouble if Bolden is out for the season. Davis looked big and slow. He is not a starting RB. I think Thomas is better than Davis.

I just wonder what the coaches were thinking starting Brunetti over Stoudt. Stoudt made some rookie mistakes but he looked 1000 times better than Brunetti.

The D looked better but not by much. Well I can't talk too bad about the D because they did keep us in the game and they played a lot more than they should have had to play.

Let's hope for a lot of improvement over the next couple of weeks.

Hang in there. Rebs competed today and that was good to see. Brunetti is not the answer. It's either Mackey or Stoudt. O line was not impressive. Seem to be out of sync. I applaud OM for playing teams that test us. Look forward to Texas and Clemson in the future. No more sisters of the blind. Games like this improve the program. Still seem slow at linebacker. Need to improve. Always love the Rebs. Hotty Toddy.

FINAL: BYU 14, Ole Miss 13

Missed opportunities and mistakes are magnified in a one-point game. Rebels had a 13-0 lead and the ball with roughly 9 minutes left. BYU offense scored only one touchdown. Cougars got the winning points when linebacker blitzed, beat Ferbia Allen, hit Zack Stoudt, forced a fumble and ran 3 yards for a touchdown. The play came with 5:09 left.

Deep at tailback, Rebels top three all left the game with injury. Jeff Scott returned, Brandon Bolden and Enrique Davis did not. Bolden could have a fractured ankle, Houston Nutt said. No word on Davis.

No word on a QB starter moving forward, but once Stoudt entered for Barry Brunetti late in the second quarter, Brunetti did not return.

Defense played one heck of a game, but they can't stay out on the field the whole game. As for the offense - it was offensive. For all the hype of a big O line and a good running game, that game was just inept. I thought Nutt called bad plays last year, sheesh.

Ole Miss may have been the underdog and 'might' have claimed a moral victory by losing by 1 point, but the way the offense played means I will just be checking them out in the Sunday paper the rest of the year to see if they won or not.

Good luck the rest of the season.

HALFTIME

Ole Miss 3, BYU 0

Some observations.

Rebels looking improved in the secondary. Blitzing the corners a good bit. PBU's by Temple and Pendleton, some nice downfield coverage by Sawyer.

Brandon Bolden is out, don't know if he'll be back. Jeff Scott went to the locker room earlier but came back and has played a big role. Absence of Bolden has gotten Devin Thomas into the game.

BYU has 102 yards of offense, Ole Miss has 93, more than half of it on a 49-yard drive for a field goal. Stoudt was pressured and wisely threw it away on third down, setting up Bryson Rose from 20.

BYU QB Jake Heaps is 11 for 22, 74 yards. BYU RB JJ Di Luigi 6 carries, 21 yards.

Ole Miss defense, burned often by big plays last year, has done a good job for two quarters of keeping the ball in front of them.

Bolden leads the Rebels with 4 carries, 21 yards.

Barry Brunetti is 2 for 3 passing, 4 yards; Stoudt 2 for 4, 21 yards. Scott has 3 carries, 16 yards and had a key gain of 16 on a screen pass on the scoring drive.
