Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco had his end-of-year evaluation with the athletics director today, the first with Ross Bjork.

"It went good," Bianco said. "It was the first time, obviously, that we've had the end-of-year meeting, but it's something that has happened for 12 years here. We talked about things that we need to improve as a program and how to get to Omaha."

Bianco said he and Bjork discussed specific areas for improvement.

"We talked about being more dominant on the mound. We talked about scoring more runs, being more productive with runners in scoring position. When you look next year at a lot of the players returning on the mound, I think we have the chance to have one of the best pitching staffs we've ever had here. It will be our second-year under coach (Cliff) Godwin, and we saw so many strides this year offensively. I think we will continue to see improvement. I think (Bjork) certainly is knowledgable about baseball. He understands the importance of it here at Ole Miss. He understands the expectations and, like a lot of people, just wants us to succeed."
