Fresno State coach Pat Hill is still working on his scouting report for Ole Miss, he says.

That's why he refers to Jeff Scott only as No. 3. Hill was most impressed with Scott from the video he's seen thus far.

He expressed surprise that he hasn't seen more from No. 34, Brandon Bolden. “He doesn't have as many carries as I would have thought, and I've not seen him on film much,” Hill said. That has to do in large part with Bolden's ankle injury, of course.

Bolden rushed for a career-high 228 yards and two touchdowns, one of them a 71-yard sprint after breaking through the first level of the defense.

Hill thought Fresno played pretty well against Ole Miss except for seven or eight plays. He was most impressed in recalling the option game.

“(Jeremiah) Masoli on the first series had third-and-12 and scrambled for 72. They had a big option package last year. That adds to the big-play dimension,” he said.

The Rebels have tried to create an option threat with Barry Brunetti earlier and with Randall Mackey more recently but haven't generated much success there.

In spite of the Rebels' offensive struggles, Hill expects a big challenge for his Bulldogs.

“I think they've a very capable team on the offensive side of the ball,” he said.

Boone could be a spy, sent by MState to single handedly take down the rebel black bear alliance. It's a trap!

Skip Holtz...if we could somehow beg him to come here...Give Nutt another year if you have to, but Pete and Dan have got to go. How is there any doubt with a Chancellor that has to put his mug on every television advertisement for the university and is bound in determined to make us the laughing stock of the college scene across the US. He reminds me of that dean on that early 90s movie "Necessary Roughness".

I was going to suggest that this game was an audition by Pat Hill for the O town gig, but the dude is 60. Got to get a young mind, wait a minute, yes! I have two words for you... Chad Morris. He is the offensive Coordinator for Clemson. He has a remarkable coaching career and he can sure score some points. It's worth a call, don't you think?

This will be OM's toughest test yet. Fresno is an extremely hostile environment. They dont seat but about 40- something thousand, but they have sold out every game since the 90's. The rest of the fans set up shop in the lots, terrorizing opposing fans as they come and go. The biggest stastic that OM needs to look at is their home game win percentage. Fresno has an 85% home win average. They have taken down some major power houses. I will be there with my wife and children. Im hoping I can follow the team bus in and out of the stadium. Lol. Anybody have any contacts to see if thats possible?

PA, has Nutt brought up possibly trying to go back to the Pistol? Last year there seemed to be a good deal of success with it and it puzzles me that he's yet to try it. We have two QB with similar skill sets to Masoli. Though not quite as good as him, Masoli still had success with it and I just feel someone like Brunetti could too.
