A few college football notes ...

A year ago Houston Nutt was on this list. Here's a look at one man's take on the "hottest seats" in college football heading into the summer of 2012. Two Ole Miss opponents and one SEC team are represented.

There's movement on the college football landscape, but when it involves the mid-majors it doesn't send out quite the ripple effect. Looks like the loser here is the WAC, as Utah State, San Jose State get ready to join the Mountain West. ...

Closer to home, an announcement could come today that Conference USA will restock after its Big East departures by adding La. Tech, North Texas and Charlotte, among others. ...

The Sun Belt Conference is trying to keep pace as it adds Texas State and Texas-Arlington. ...

ole mullet head will be on this seat by season end.

A one year wonder who even had me wanting to believe after whupping up 2 years ago in their bowl game. This year had to be a let down to State fans, needing to beat a ole miss team that had imploded to even make a bowl game. Then you had to take no doze to even stay awake for their bowl game. This year will show that jabs at ole miss and talking only goes so far. Ole miss want have a great year but will take State down in the egg bowl. Coach freeze gets this rivalry. Even turfy guy will start turning on mullet after this year.

Mach Brown probably put himself on the hot seat when he and Longhorns let Will Muschamp get away. Muschamp is starting to build a power house down here in Florida/ They could be a surprise team this fall.

but just remember we will turn this around

I hope you are correct, bigreb, I would like to see the ole Rebel winning spirit restored, and not with a gang who have problems with reading writing, and arithmetic, and no potential jail birds nor criminals.

Coach Freeze is in his dream job. He sits inside some of the best facillities in the nation with all the tools to suceed. He has a very long way to go we will see some improvement this year but he is recruiting some needs and it will take some time. This whole staff is working their tails off I have never seen a staff work this hard and I have worked with several. We will come out of this with hard work and development of talent. Be patient and you will have these people poking fun along the way but just remember we will turn this around and they will disappear like always.

Hang your head Derek Dooley, there are several key players that won't be eligible for various reasons and that's not good for coach Dooley. Has to win the east to keep his job. Jon Gruden is waiting for this job to open up. The sad part is Huge Freeze doesn't even have a seat to sit on. He is still wandering through the wilderness and picking ticks and cockleburrs off, instead of game planning for the upcoming season.
