The Rebels will be back on the practice field in a little more than an hour beginning at 9:45.

It's the first of a handful of two-a-day practices. I will not be in Oxford today, but we will have a practice notebook from Hayden Sowers following the afternoon workout which begins at 5:15.

Here's our take from the print edition on cornerback Senquez Golson. From a standpoint of sheer skill and athleticism it's not surprising to see Golson running with the first team. The surprise comes from the fact that he missed the entire spring when a new coaching staff was in place and was installing a new system. There's a lot to learn at cornerback. You can hand a guy a playbook and say "study," but it's not the same as the learning that takes place when that guy is on the field.

Golson has had a good camp so far. In his own words he's been "sloppy" with technique. He can overcome some of that with his physical gifts.

As long as Ward hasn't been cleared, the Turtleman still has hopes of playing for the blackbears football squad! Noting the lack of depth, I am sure coach Freeze would give him a look see! Probably at QB.
