This analysis from the Houston Chronicle says the Aggies could be part of the Southeastern Conference as soon as next year. Lots of bad feelings in College Station for the Big 12's stance with Texas and the Longhorn Network. LINK

Never could figure out what really happened to the old SWC. They at one time was very strong. Most teams from the State of Texas, but teams highly competitive. I guess some Christian Schools; Baylor, TCU, SMU, Rice, and military and agriculture in Texas A&M. Texas Tech, Houston, and Arkansas thrown in to complete the package. A very good package indeed. But in time, changes and thoughts, took place, some changes for the better, some for the worse, and some thoughts that we wish that we should have kept to ourselves.
