We had a good day in San Francisco. We left the room about 7:30 local time and got back not too long ago.

Before we left I sent an email to Linda Masoli, Jeremiah Masoli's mother. We emailed a couple of times last year during Masoli's transition to Ole Miss.

I knew Masoli had caught on in the United Football League, had forgotten with whom, and asked Mrs. Masoli if Jeremiah might be on hand for the Rebels game at Fresno.

He will in fact be playing for the Omaha franchise nearby against Sacramento. Masoli led two touchdown drives in the team's first game, and 23-13 loss to Virginia, and will be the starter against Sacramento.

“We have 90 tickets sold in our family and friends group seating,” Linda Masoli said. “If Jeremiah wasn't playing in Sacramento tomorrow, the whole Masoli clan wold go out to Fresno and support Ole Miss.”

I don't have an info pipeline with Patrick Willis, the former Ole Miss star who is now an All-Pro linebacker with the 49ers, but I doubt he will be in Fresno. The 49ers have a noon central kick at Philadelphia on Sunday.

Yeah, Boudin is more of a tourist trap but good bread. Scoma's is on the water just south towards the gg bridge from Boudin. The boata pull right up to the resturant to drop off fresh seafood. Yeah the artists, dancers, and exotic animal trainers are way better than N.O. Did you know many of those places on the wharf dont even make their own clam chowder? Crazy hunh? You sure missed a treat with Scoma's. No one but tourist ride the cable cars....expensive too. We get on the bus. Glad you guys had a great time. Those Boudin bread creations are cool arent they?

Dos, sorry to report we did not make it to Scoma's. We left the room at 7:30, stayed out all day and ate an early dinner at Boudin's on the wharf. Enjoyed it very much. Really enjoyed the Alcatraz tour, though I'd like to have heard more about the Indian occupation. Enjoyed the Golden Gate Bridge, the Maratime Park and Pier 39. The street performers were really neat, better than the ones I've seen in New Orleans. People were friendly. Street car was crowded and overrated.
