Now former Ole Miss offensive lineman Matt Hall was arrested early Saturday morning on multiple charges, Oxford Police Department records show.

Officers were responding to a domestic violence call, and Hall was eventually charged with domestic violence simple assault, a second simple assault, malicious mischief, stalking, DUI, careless driving and failure to yield to blue lights.

Hall was a 12-game starter last year but was held out of spring drills because of what Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze described as a personal issue. Near the end of drills Freeze said Hall was working toward a goal of graduating in the summer.

Seems like Freeze saw the character of the young man and didn't care for it if he was held out of drills. I guess we now know why - he does not play well with others.
