Question of the Day: Who's the best choice for QB?

I don't think I've posted a question of the day since this quarterbacks question earlier, but now there's a little bit of a body of work with two, Zack Stoudt and Barry Brunetti, and still a great unknown with Randall Mackey.

Moving forward, what's the best way to proceed with the quarterbacks?

A. Stoudt. He did enough to win the job.

B. Brunetti. The option needs to be the focal point of the offense.

C. Mackey. Did enough before the arrest to be the starter.

D. Play all three against Southern Illinois and let the competition continue.

That o line been in tact now goin on two years - what is the hold up on its improvement? I think thats just another excuse for OM football failures. Sorry, but thats the way I feel about it.

The Gators got a brand new O-L and made up of Freshmen and they are doin good. A good chance that the Gators will win SEC East this season and with a group of raw recruits.

I agree with Brewer...I didnt believe any of the hype about the o line to begin with but was hoping I was wrong. they are big enough, but I have watched sowell get pushed around for 3 years so I didnt see why this year would be any different. And the offsides! come on, get your heads out of your #####! that killed the drive. Afraid its gonna be a long, long season yet again. I really hate it for bolden and davis..to miss games your senior year is rough. Look on the bright side, at least we have that stupid bear for our opponents to make fun of so all jokes arent about the product on the field.

brewer i agree about the "O" line. again what was supposed to be the strength of our team looked like a weak spot. last year the "D" line was supposed to be the strenght and they let us down and now it is the "O"line. i think markenson should have had those guys on the sideline giving them a gut check to see if they had any. it is time for them to step or shut up.

Until the O-line get's better, it doesn't matter who plays QB.

D. Southern Illinois is a game we should win regardless of the QB.

I liked what I saw from Stoudt on Saturday. Brunetti deserves another shot because he really didn't get a chance to show what he can do. Mackey has been in the mix since his arrival and I'd like to see him in action as well.

All that being said, I sure would like to see us choose a guy and stick with him as we get into SEC play.

A. Stoudt

I would think it is Stoudt's job to loose. he didnt have a truly awesome game, but he did present rather well in the pocket. i was most impressed with him throwing the ball away at times. what might affect the qb position also is the running back position potentially being thin. if mackey can deliver the ball as well as Stoudt and having running ability, he might be the best choice. he just needs to stopping fighting.
