After a 1-3 week, the Rebels remain ranked in the Baseball America Top 25 but dropped six spots to No. 24. LSU, this week's SEC opponent, is No. 4.

Before the weekend the Rebels have Southern Miss Tuesday and Murray State Wednesday. USM defeated Ole Miss 10-0 in Oxford in March. Southern Miss is 25-18 overall, 9-6 and tied for third in Conference USA. The Golden Eagles are No. 101 in the RPI. Murray State is 19-24 overall, 7-11 in the Ohio Valley Conference and comes in with an RPI of 180.

Glad to see the Noles still #1 - they are a very good baseball team and I think deserving of that ranking. LSU, I believe should be ranked higher than #4, they have shown remarkable improvement since whipping the Gators a few week back. The Gators ranked #7, they should send flowers and kisses to who ever make up those ranking. The Gators have been terrible the last several weeks, Can not remember when they last hit a home run. Arkansas really beat them badly this past weekend.

In my opinion,South Carolina is the hottest team going at this time and it could be very big for them this close to tournament time.
