I grew up just out side of Oxford in the community of Tula, but never recall or heard of prostitues in Oxford, I was too young for such sinful acts, slaves , never saw or heard of any, native american, my wife is a part of the native american group, as for Starksville being a farming community, I can appreciate that, I once went there to an Ole miss - State basketball game and the game as I thought was played in a barn. Rebs lost the game. JB
Want to invite you to come down Saturday.
Mississippi State's 2012 football team will celebrate the 1000th-consecutive day in possession of the Golden Egg Trophy at its annual Fan Day on Saturday in the Palmeiro Center. Doors will open at 12 noon, and players and coaches will be available for an autograph session from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Are you suggesting that Hugh Freeze is the commander of our state and that Ole Miss is a vessel that is floating? He may be the captain of a ship that is floating in bowl of terds, but he sure ain't no commander.
If you look at Otown and Starkvegas you will see two towns that are just about the same as other SEC college towns. They're rather small and Bohemian in lifestyle, at least for the student population. Athens, Auburn, Knoxville are the same. If you have spent any amount of time in any of the SEC towns you would know that they're practically all the same. So your point is mute!
Oxford in the begining was a town for prostitutes, where slaves and native americans would go to have a good time. Starkville was a farming communtity, mostly dairy farming.
If you live in Mississippi you are a "neck". Don't knock til you try it!
You can quote all the recent records that you like; however, we are, and always will be, the flagship University in this state. And you people know it.
Just go look at the towns and campuses and then see how each school is perceived by outsiders. Not even close, regardless of how hard you necks try.
Maybe you clowns should go apply for the neck wide receiver coach job. I understand there is an opening.
