From the mother ship this morning, our take on the Tobias Singleton departure.
I found it interesting that Hugh Freeze assigned a percentage to "buy in" during SEC Media Days and again later at the campus media day.
Judging by Freeze's comments, Singleton clearly had not bought in.
His exit has generated a lot of news because of his high school accomplishments. Any time you subtract an athlete from the roster it hurts, and the current state of depth at many positions has been well documented.
But Singleton, for whatever reason, wasn't very high on the depth chart even after the injury to Collins Moore. "Buy-in" was probably a factor there.
So depth gets thinner at receiver. The Rebels really need to see Korvic Neat and Philander Moore elevate their production. Freeze also sounds optimistic about the return of Collins Moore. It would be a big lift at the position if Moore, who sustained a torn labrum on the second day of practice, could play this season.
Also from the mother ship, a camp notebook with good stuff from sophomore safety Cody Prewitt.
"it is what it is" "it's just part of the process"
AS for your Miss State Bulldogs and their sports programs, I wish them well and their fans happiness.

I do believe the Rebels will have a better season than some seem to think.
Wasn't aware of the 7 game FBS losing streak. I would like to know which 3 teams are worse than Ole Mess.
