The highlights of Houston Nutt's Sunday afternoon teleconference. ...
- Guard Patrick Junen (ankle) and safety Damien Jackson (knee) were the only injuries Nutt mentioned from the Arkansas game. He expects both players to be ready for this week's home game against No. 3 Auburn.
- Nutt said yesterday's first half was “one of our worst halves of blocking. It's disappointing in that we had no movement whatsoever.”
- Poor tackling was about technique, not assignment busts, Nutt said. Alignment and assignment for players was “pretty good.”
- Nutt was asked if he sensed players giving up. He said he has not. “We had some Arkansas people very very nervous, because they thought we were going to win the game.”
The time is now. This team HAS to have this game...at least give their best performance this season. Losing to the #1 in the country is not a bad thing. Giving them the game is unacceptable. Hopefully we will give them everything we got....we can rest a bit next weekend against ULa La - maybe. Maybe we will get a fair shake at it, and capitialize on the opprotunity. There would be utter chaos if the Rebs were to pull out a victory....goalposts torn down, potential couch burnings, you name it. 9 years if pent-up frustration from our last home victory of major substance....2002 vs. #3 Florida.
Are you ready???? I hope our Rebs are! Hotty Toddy!
Auburn, No. 3 rating as of today, thought they should be No. 1, but regardless, they are the one the Rebs face next. My believe is that those Rebel LBs can take Newton out of the game, with the hi and lo punch. Newton is very big and strong, but those backers can do it. They must get that guy out of the game and quickly. Clean and hard football play.

The wild rebel on the half yard line eliminated their nervous tension.
