JB, I saw where you mentioned traipsing around your old haunts in Lafayette County using google earth. That's a great tool. I used it to revisit my old air base in Germany awhie back. You should come back to north MS soom and see it from eye level. There's hardly a gravel or dirt road remaining now. If you do come, give me a head's up - maybe I can drive over and join you.

As for basketball, I'm always optomistic but it seems this year I may have better reasons for optomism than in quite a few. I loved our freshman point guard last year, now he's more experienced. The front line could be very, very good (if we can keep from spraining ankles). I'm anxious to see the new talent. I hear good things & I'm hoping for the best.

Don't worry Alford! The dogs are giving Locke all kinds of LLEH, for his negative writings, too. That tells me you are both doing your job! I like reading both blogs! It keeps me informed on the feeding habits of the blackbears!

If you want a "fan" of ole miss as the beat reporter, you amy try any of the infinite number of blogs out there. Myself, I would rather hear it from as unbiased a writer as possible, which I think PA does a fine job. I have been irritated in the past at the amount of coverage the DJ gives that god-forsaken bear, but other than that I want the good and the bad when it comes to Xs and Os.

I would have to say that Parish is very honest and straight forward in his articles. It is difficult to swallow the pill of truth but I would rather have the truth. PA is very good at his job and reports on what he sees not what you and i want to hear. I joke from time to time about allof the negative news he reports, but we shouldnt want to kill the messenger.

I have been on this blog for many years and I thanks PA for his reporting Ole Miss Sports to us. I have no complaints whatsoever, just praise for him and his dedication to his sports reporting and his profession, and all the time he spends away from his family just to follow the Rebels and tell us about it. Good job Parrish keep up the good work, but spend more time with your family.

Agingbiker what do you see in the upcoming basketball season - I think it will be a good one.

Garp, it's pretty obvious you don't want news, you want someone to tell you what you believe to be so. You can do better than that, but you have to want to.

P.A.: You are either the most negative person I have ever read or you just don't like Ole Miss. Every article is either negative on all counts or about MSU. I'll get my "news" elsewhere thanks.........

Actually, that should have read:

That

University

Rebels

Dislike

By looking at the voting in the "How many games will the Rebels win?", I would say that 93% of the fans of That School Rebels Dislike are "selling out". I looked for a blacbear poll, but wasn't able to find that.

The nearest I could find, was the blackbears, but why would anyone from Mississippi even care what the University of Maine wins?

By looking at the voting in the how many games will the blacbears win? article, I would say that 7% of the fans are "buying in" and 93% of the fans are "selling out". Good luck with that fan base.
