As Ole Miss begins its SEC series at Georgia tonight, the Athens Banner-Herald describes the Eastern Division Bulldogs as alarmingly average. Georgia is coming off a win at Clemson last night, rallying from five runs back to win 8-7.

It's one day sooner for the next start for Ole Miss pitcher Bobby Wahl, who left the Kentucky game last Friday with arm soreness.

For Georgia, it was interesting timing of a non-conference game against a big rival coming the night before the beginning of an SEC series. The fact that the game lasted 3 hours, 40 minutes might be beneficial for Ole Miss as well.

In spring football, the Rebels are back on the practice field today after a Wednesday off. Hugh Freeze was visibly upset with how his offense performed Tuesday, and that usually means intense discussions and challenges to players in meetings. We'll see how they respond today and will coverage here this evening.
