The lone exhibition game for the Ole Miss men tips in about half an hour. UNA, of the D2 Gulf South Conference, returns two starters from a team that was 13-16 overall, 2-2 in the GSC. The Lions have been picked fourth in the eight-team league this season. Ole Miss and UNA have never met in the regular season. They did meet in an exhibition in 2008, Ole Miss winning 115-81.

I'll have updates on Twitter throughout. I'll be back here at halftime and after the game.

FINAL: Ole Miss 91, UNA 62

The Rebels shot 46.2 in the second half, up from 38.5 in the first half.

Nice game for Dundrecous Nelson. He was just 2-for-7 from 3 but was 7-for-14 from the floor for 22 points with nine assists and seven steals. Very athletic. Good effort.

Murphy Holloway's first game back looked a lot like some of his other games here … 11 points, seven rebounds and 3-for-6 at the free throw line.

You could see the athleticism of the young group. Erratic on defense, missed some shots, but an aggressive group, a comfort level that you want them to have at this time of the year. They didn't look afraid on the floor.

This is also a team that stands to gain some very good players in the coming weeks: freshmen Jelan Kendrick and LaDarius White and senior Steadman Short.

White has to make sure his semester grades are in order. Short is coming back from an ankle injury.

Kendrick will be and White could be eligible on Dec. 10 for Mississippi Valley or on Dec. 14 for La.-Lafayette. Next up is a road trip to Southern Miss on Dec. 17.

Memreb, Williams did transfer out. Don't know where. He never seemed to fit in last year. Good shooter but shot too much, never seemed to be in the flow.

PA, whatever happened to Donald Williams? I'm assuming he transferred but I don't remember hearing anything about him.

HALFTIME: Ole Miss 40, UNA 29

Rebels playing lots of people, lots of young, raw talent out there, the raw part contributing to a 38.5 shooting percentage.

Some players of note:

Maurice Aniefiok isn't shy with the ball. Aggressive on the wing. He's taken four shots, missed them all. Hasn't missed badly. You can he's had success out there.

Nice half for PG Jarvis Summers. Good decisions with the ball. He did not start but played 12 minutes. 3-for-6 shooting, 1 assist, 1 turnover, 2 steals.

Aaron Jones played 8 minutes off the bench and showed his athleticism with a blocked shot, then grabbing the ball and taking it all the way for the dunk.

Demarco Cox looks quicker around the basket. Has done a good job backing down defenders.

Dundrecous Nelson leads the way with 13 points. He's 4 for 8 from the floor, 1 for 3 from 3. He was fouled on the 3 with 4.2 seconds left and hit the free throw for a 14-point lead, but the Rebels gave up a late 3 at the buzzer.

Murphy Holloway had two early fouls and played only 7 minutes. Less than 14 seconds into the game he was at the FT line and hit 1 of 2. It's a Murphy percentage that I remember.

Defense has been erratic. Lots of hands in passing lanes. UNA is shooting just 35.5 percent, but the Lions have missed a lot of open looks.
