If I go to a another game this year I'll have a paper bag on my head (i e 'aints)don't want anyone to see me their.I loved the way D. Jackson thru up the landshark sign in the 4th quarter behind 30-0. That was great, where were you in the 2nd quarter oh i know you were reading the names on the back of the Vandy jearsys as they raced fot TDs. The worst Blackbear team ever. You know blackbears are almost never seen in public, thus the mascot name change.I'm not for firing Nutt or any of the staff they deserve to suffer with the rest of us.No offence since Kent Austin left Lee couldn't call a dog with a bucket of rib bones. We couldn't compete in the Lingerie Football League.

We've all been supporting losers for a long time now as Ole Miss Rebels, but that crap today was different. There was 0 effort from anyone associated with the University of Mississippi in Nashville today. the coaching staff, the players....period. Effort, that is why those boys were whipping our behind all over the line of scrimmage (both sides of the ball). They were hungry. We are full of something, and it doesn't have a pleasant after-taste in my opinion. I just don't understand, how can a guy who has been coaching as long as HDN has say that he likes what he is seeing in practice, and then puts a product on the field like that? And the adminstration has the go-nads to ask us for more money to expand the stadium????? There won't be anyone there the rest of the year to sell the dang tickets that are available with the 62K seats. And the 52K that are now "stuck" with the worthless tickets that we have, don't want to be there, but because we have been extorted for a pile of money that we can't recoop, we have no choice but to show our butts up.

And they can't blame the crowd for today....the stadium was half full, like they are used to, and they weren't loud on 3rd downs, like they are used to, and they didn't show up like 45 minutes before gametime.....so I will show up next weekend, and intentionally show up AFTER the kickoff, and stand up and yell as loud as I can when we have the ball on 3rd down, and sit down and be very quiet when they have the ball on 3rd down, because none of that poop really matters....we aren't going to be any different. I didn't think it could be worse than Ed Orgeron, but for some reason, it feels worse. Can someone tell me why? Is it because this coaching staff has had success in the past? And is it because we "think" we have good recruting classes, only to have this coaching staff piss the talent down the side of their leg? What is it? Oh, I know, WE ARE OLE MISS.....

I was just watching Navy give South Carolina all they could handle and I thought to myself if Ole Miss had half the heart of the kids from Navy they would be a force every year. I agree with Dos below, the whole situation is a disgrace from administration, coaches and players. Liquidate the scholarships and these kids are basically being given thousands of dollars, show some heart and appreciate the opportunity in front of you. I can handle lots of things, but quitters I won't be associated with. Took my Ole Miss plate off the front of my vehicle, I'll be d!!! if I will support a bunch of losers. Again, an absolute disgrace. Heads should roll for this performance.

I think that Ole Miss will remain just where they are- in the SEC.

It appears a move is coming soon. Syracuse and Pitt applied to ACC today. Expansion of SEC is coming fast, guess OM can move to the Big East with what is left of the Big 12 and Big East.

The D Coordinator needs to quit and return his pay for the last 2 years. The O Line coach needs to quit and enter the witness protection program.

Ole Miss just became the the new Vandy! It is time to go into hibernation (pun very much intended)!

I am a life long Rebels fan that has been displaced to New Mexico. I thought the Lobos were the worst team in the country until today. That was not Ole Miss football. They got scared after getting hit by Vandy's defense. We will be lucky to win another game this year.

I was relatively young in the 70's and the Sloan yrs but this might be the lowest point I have ever experienced as an Ole Miss fan...I still maintain my sanity and sense of humor and I commend PA for his comment on Vandy and the leather helmets......I say this, Rebel Black Bear has stepped in his own crap.

Let the unraveling begin.

I've never been more embarrassed to be an Ole Miss Rebel than I am right this moment. This team has quit....how do you quit before you even get freaking started? I said this game's outcome would set HDN's fate at Ole Miss.....and if I am this embarrassed, think of all the brass and big money folks feel that aren't seeing a harvest from their sowing? I get mad when I hear to get Ole Miss out of the SEC, but today is the first day I really felt like those people were right. It's just not worth getting upset over. They obviously don't give a rip, why should we?????

I have a friend that works for Mayflower Moving Van and he said that they had ordered 12 moving van to be at Ole Miss by the time the team get back to Oxford but they only had 3 van that they could get there by that time.He said they would have to wait until monday to have the other 9 vans.

This is the first time I haven't been pleased with Houston Nutt. As much as it hurts to watch this, firing him right now is not the answer, different teams in the past have tried it and it never works and it sends a bad message if you're the university. As far as the game goes, the defense has made critical mistakes with gap control and not staying home on their defensive assignments, but let's be honest to the fact that the offense hasn't really given them any kind of rest on the sideline. I agree that the offensive line should sit and have a long look at themselves. I feel like I'm watching the Chicago Bears offensive line, which is especially troubling considering two players on the OM line are considered by some to be "All Americans". I give credit to Vanderbilt because they're manhandling those guys but OM just doesn't like they want it which bothers me, I can take being out matched and beaten by talent, but it makes me sick when I see players quitting.

I hope Ole Miss fans riot until changes are made. Ole Miss has been beaten many times, but I have never seen anything like this. For the first time in my life it is a disgrace what we are putting on the field. We need a mid season firing.

I tell you what not one man on the offensive line would play for me the rest of the year.I set them on the bench and let them watch if it cost me every game.I let the second team play for next year.Ole Miss has to be the worst team in the country. If he doesn't change offensive line coach he need to be fired.

Ole Miss has quit on the Reverend!!! Derek Herman's attempt on pass play was pathetic. He should never see field again in OM uniform. It just keeps getting worse. I don't understand. After this game you will have split team over qb's and split fan base over coach. OL coach's name escapes me but what a lousy performance. They look like there feet are in concrete. Finebaum on xm might be right. OM not worthy of membership in SEC.........This 1st half reminds me of Tenn. A scholarship is a priviledge, players might want to take note of that.

HALFTIME

Vanderbilt 21, Ole Miss 0

I told folks during the week we would know a lot about Ole Miss' bowl chances by 3 p.m., but that information has come in ahead of deadline unless there's a second-half revival.

Nothing in the first half indicates that's forthcoming.

Bobby Massie's prediction of offensive line improvement has not materialized in the first two quarters. Missed blocks and penalties for the OL.

Randall Mackey has had one series at QB. It reinforced the theory that even the most mobile of quarterbacks needs blocking.

Brandon Bolden has played and played well, five carries for 27 yards.

Defensively, too many missed tackles. Vandy is getting in some good matchups, like a running back covered 1-on-1 downfield by Joel Kight. The pass interference called aided the touchdown drive.

Kentrell Lockett did not start at DE but has played.

Nick Brassell has looked very good in the secondary.

Overheard in the press box: The last time Vanderbilt was ahead 21-0 in an SEC game the teams were in leather helmets.

Stats

Total yards: VU 172, OM 115

Rush yards: VU 21-102, OM 19-64

Passing

Stoudt - 4-for-12, 51 yards, 3 interceptions.

All I'm going to say is this is shameful. Sowell is being blown off the line and no one else can hold a block. They are exposing our slow linebackers. Folks this is not even a 4 win season. Bring Col. REB BACK NOW!
